1.
Within this body that made you swell There’s a voice that stabs like a knife Whether we’ll meet again sometime, or never Premature children keep on calling Just a little further Undelivered dreams that sink at daybreak Multitudes of nights pass through me Then when my eyes open, I’m not green The song has gone, under a wordless roof Just a little further
2.
I know I will fall Someone calls from the field I know I want to fall Someone calls from the field That’s probably my voice Sing it to me the next verse Of that wonderful song I can sing it in my mind
3.
Stare too long at the moon And you’ll dance with a shadow I haven’t forgotten So I played my flute at dawn I’m sorry for my Maria You don’t need to dance Stare too long at the sky And your gaze will be blue Transparent and inside out I’m sorry for my Maria Hallelujah
4.
Don’t forget When that cloud moves I’ll soon follow, no matter where you are Even when you cannot hear me There’s an unknown you there There’s an unknown me there too Tonight for sure that ship will leave below your eyelids Rushing through the shining night My reality An unknown you is laughing An unknown me is laughing too Don’t forget When that cloud moves I’ll soon follow, no matter where you are Even when you cannot hear me
5.
Green lovers 04:04
f you are the sun and I am the moon If you are the fish and I am the water Will you kindly show me the way? I’ll be your baby in the green Is there anything good in that house? Please take whichever comes first I have the fast voice Because I dream of you Seeing the green lovers all over the place My aim is to swim Across your reminder You figure is given to room Soldiers are used to danger plain We’re keeping it in view anytime Please take whichever comes first You have the fast voice Because you dream of me……
6.
Christmas out of season Snow falling out of season The broken radio too falls silent The snow’s whiteness hits me Christmas out of season That’s not me coming With reindeer out of season The cat’s dance over, it too sleeps Even when time passes and snow melts Your desires are yours alone Your cold hands point to me Christmas out of season Carols out of season Within your warm warmth Lonely lonely me Time passing Snow Melts I see you naked now Even when I close my eyes (even when I close my eyes) You alone in times past Christmas out of season And you out of season
7.
Star / 星 05:15
Bye bye This isn’t then Look they’re all here Like a beautiful lie Those voices I used to smile at Bye bye This isn’t then Look they’re all here Like a beautiful lie Those voices I used to weep at Bye bye
8.
Bird looks to sky When the wind awakes A voice quietly speaks No one knows.... Wishes mount A heart stolen away I dream Of a place alone
9.
Pie-para-para Pie-para-para Haven't you ever heard? Pie-para-para Pie-para-para Haven't you ever met? Pie-para-para Pie-para-para Haven't you ever been to
10.
Bye bye This isn’t then Look they’re all here Like a beautiful lie Those voices I used to smile at Bye bye This isn’t then Look they’re all here Like a beautiful lie Those voices I used to weep at Bye bye

about

A dreamlike dispatch from mid-80's Japan, the first and only Hallelujahs album is an entrancing and gentle work of psychedelic pop brilliance. Friends gathered in the studio by Shinji Shibayama (Nagisa Ni Te), Hallelujahs created a music of deep feeling and wonderment with simple song craft and a guileless magic. The album was the first release by the now revered ORG Records in 1986 in a micro-edition of 300 copies. With affinities to the sounds of the Rough Trade and Flying Nun labels, the Paisley Underground and Galaxie 500, the album is an utterly unique masterpiece that remains a touchstone for generations of like spirited artists in Japan and around the world.

Black Editions is proud to present this all-time classic in a deluxe vinyl edition, remastered from the original tapes and presented in a heavy tip-on jacket with textured paper, mounted high quality print, foil stamped finishes and spot colors. Also released with a special limited edition 7" featuring two previously unreleased tracks and hand stamped envelope with seven photo cards.
